Way back in 2003 we were engaged by ACTREC, Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer to create an audiovisual for commemorating their 50 years anniversary. The foundation of ACTREC were rooted in the Indian Cancer Research Centre, ICRC, that was established in 1952 at Parel in Mumbai, under the Ministry of Health, Government of India. In 1966, ICRC was rechristened to Cancer Research Institute (CRI) and co-existed with the Tata Memorial Hospital or TMH, for comprehensive cancer center in India as the Tata Memorial Center or TMC. TMC was an autonomous grant-in-aid institution of the Department of Atomic Energy DAE of the Government of India.
