MAKING OF THE CEO APP PROMO: A VIDEO PRODUCTION CASE STUDY

For this project, the challenge was to turn a functional app walkthrough into a compelling narrative that resonates with high-level CxOs and field managers alike. As a filmmaker, I approached this not just as a screen-recording demo, but as a story of transformation—from the chaos of "siloed data" to the clarity of the "CEO App."

🎯 CONCEPTUALIZATION & SCRIPTING We started by addressing the "Elephant in the room"—the frustration of modern sales tracking. The script uses satire to contrast the dull reality of spreadsheets with the dopamine hit of social media. The goal was to position the CEO App not as another task, but as a tool as engaging as Instagram.

🎬 VISUAL TREATMENT & EDITING To keep the 4-minute duration engaging, we utilized a hybrid visual style. ✅ Live Action Satire: We used relatable shots of "anxious managers" and "tired field agents" to build immediate empathy and establish the problem statement. ✅ High-Fidelity UI Animation: Instead of static screen recordings, we rebuilt key app screens (Fresh Business, Beat Plan, Wall of Champions) in post-production to ensure crisp readability and smooth transitions. ✅ Dynamic Pacing: The edit follows the rhythm of the background score, picking up pace as we transition from the "problem" phase to the "solution" phase.

🛠️ TECHNICAL EXECUTION The production involved precise motion graphics to simulate user interactions like "Tap animations" and "Drill-down" features. This allows the viewer to understand complex hierarchies—like the L1 Manager's command center—without needing a voiceover to explain every single pixel.
